Clipart
Admittedly Clip Art is getting better, however, only use it if it is relevant. NEVER use it to 'brighten' up a dull slide or Clip Art will be an acronym for 'Curious Little Irritating Pictures - Annoying, Random, Tacky'
Contrast
Beware when using a projector. Black text on a blue background or yellow on white may look good on your monitor, but it is rubbish when projected!
Control
Keep your audiences attention where you want it to be. If you want them to look at you and not the screen, blank it either white or black by pressing the 'W' or 'B' key during your presentation.
Language
If a picture tells 1000 words, why use a 1000 words to tell a picture. A good rule of thumb – If you have SO MUCH text you need a full stop of even worse a comma, there is too much text!
